PERPETUAL LICENSE (PPL) The license model corresponds to the purchase of a perpetual license usage right for the purchased major release. For the first year after purchase, the perpetual license also entitles the customer to download all updates for the version levels (minor release, patch level, build number) of the software and to receive its technical support. Upgrades to new major releases are subject to a fee. Products purchased under PPL are licensed directly to the end customer and run on that customer's own infrastructure or dedicated cloud infrastructure.
